After ordering an additional IP address in the PowerPanel, you need to configure it on your server's operating system to make it active. The steps vary depending on your OS or control panel.
How routed IPs work: Additional IP addresses are routed through your server's main IP address and share the same gateway. You must not configure a separate gateway for an additional IP — doing so will cause network conflicts and may take your server offline.
Select your operating system or control panel below for the appropriate configuration steps.
On Windows Server, additional IP addresses are added through the advanced properties of your network adapter.
Win + R, type ncpa.cpl, and press EnterDo not add a gateway in the Advanced settings. The additional IP will automatically use the main gateway already configured for your server.
If the additional IP is not working as expected, our support team is available via the PowerPanel ticket system.
