Connecting to a Windows Server (RDP)
This guide shows how to connect to your Windows Server via Remote Desktop (RDP) and manage it through a graphical interface. Windows Server is available on Server4You Dedicated Servers.
What You'll Need
Before connecting, ensure you have the following credentials ready (found in your setup email or the PowerPanel):
Server IP
e.g., 123.123.123.123
Username
Default: Administrator
Password
Your initial password
Step-by-Step Connection Guide

Click the Start button and search for "Remote Desktop Connection".

In the "Computer" field, enter your Server IP address and click Connect.

When prompted for credentials, enter
Administrator as the username and your server's password.4
If a certificate warning appears, click Yes to establish the secure session.
Certificate warning: Windows Server uses a self-signed certificate by default, so a warning appears on the first connection. This is expected; you can tick "Don't ask me again for connections to this computer".
Connection Issues?
Check your server status in the PowerPanel or perform a reboot if the system is unresponsive.
