Let's Encrypt via Plesk

If Plesk is installed on your server, you can issue and renew SSL certificates directly in the panel — fully automatic, no command line required.

Prerequisites: Plesk must be installed and the domain set up in Plesk. The domain's A record must point to the server's IP. The Let's Encrypt extension must be active in Plesk (present by default).

Step 1: Navigate to the domain in Plesk

Go to the desired domain in the Plesk panel.
1.Log in to your Plesk panel
2.Navigate to Websites & Domains
3.Select the domain you want to issue the certificate for

Step 2: Open Let's Encrypt

Open the Let's Encrypt extension from the domain dashboard.
1.Click SSL/TLS Certificates in the domain dashboard
2.Select Let's Encrypt from the list of certificate sources

Step 3: Configure and issue the certificate

Enter your email address and select the domains to include.
OptionRecommendation
Email addressYour email for expiry notifications
Include domainEnable for the main domain (e.g. your-domain.com)
Include wwwEnable so the certificate also covers www.your-domain.com
Include webmailEnable if webmail is accessible via this domain
Redirect HTTP to HTTPSEnable — ensures all visitors are forwarded to HTTPS

Click Get it free. Plesk issues the certificate, installs it, and automatically configures the HTTPS redirect.

Step 4: Verify automatic renewal

Plesk renews Let's Encrypt certificates automatically — no manual intervention needed.

Plesk checks daily for certificates that are about to expire and renews them automatically. You can view the status under Tools & Settings → SSL/TLS Certificates.

If automatic renewal fails, Plesk sends an email notification to the address you provided. In that case, check whether the domain's A record is still pointing to the correct server.

Manually renew the certificate

If a manual renewal is needed.
1.Navigate to Websites & Domains → SSL/TLS Certificates
2.Click Renew next to the Let's Encrypt certificate
