This section covers common questions around domain management — from transfers and email considerations to recovering expired domains.
To transfer a domain to a new provider, you first need to request an Auth Code (authorization code) and make sure the domain is unlocked for transfer in your PowerPanel. A detailed step-by-step guide is available in our transfer article.
Newly registered or recently transferred domains are subject to a 60-day transfer lock per ICANN regulations and cannot be transferred during this period.
A domain transfer only affects the management of the domain itself — existing services such as email mailboxes are not automatically carried over in the process.
Email services are not automatically transferred with your domain. You will need to set up your email hosting separately with your new provider after the transfer is complete.
When a domain expires, it goes through several phases during which recovery is still possible:
Grace Period: Immediately after expiry. The domain can be renewed simply and at no extra cost.
Redemption Period: Recovery is still possible, but comes with significantly higher fees.
To avoid losing a domain, we recommend enabling automatic renewal in your PowerPanel.
