This guide explains how to perform a new installation of an operating system on your server using the PowerPanel.

Important Notice Before Starting

Please review these points carefully before you begin the installation process.

Backup Your Data: Triggering an OS installation will wipe all data on all drives of the server. Before starting, it is highly advised that you perform a complete backup of any data and configuration information you wish to keep.

Time Estimate: Depending on the OS template chosen, the installation can take up to 1 hour to begin and an additional 1-2 hours to complete.

Step-by-Step Installation Guide

Step 1: Initiate the Installation

First, navigate to the Server Management section of your PowerPanel (Hardware -> Server Management).

Next to the server you want to install, click the Actions button and select Install Operating System from the dropdown menu.

Step 2: Configure Your OS

A new configuration page will appear, requiring several inputs:

  1. You will receive a Restore Code in your email, which you must enter on this page to proceed.
  2. Select an OS template, choose your desired language, and set a new password for the root or Administrator user.

Step 3: Confirm and Launch

After you have configured all settings, click Next.

On the final page, a prompt will appear asking you to confirm the installation. Confirming here will begin the OS installation process on your server.

The installation is irreversible once confirmed. Your server will be unavailable during the process.
