Reset Windows Administrator Password

This guide explains how to reset a lost or forgotten Administrator password for your Windows server using the Recovery System.


First, you must boot your server into the Windows Recovery System from the Power Panel. The system can take 20-30 minutes to fully load.


Connection Details:
  • Connect using a VNC client, not Remote Desktop (RDP).
  • The password you set for the recovery session must be exactly 8 characters long.
