Acronis Agent Installation

Before you can perform any backups, the Acronis Backup Agent must be installed on your server. The agent will automatically register your server with the Acronis Backup Management Console as soon as it is installed.

For Linux, the easiest method is to use the provided bash script, which simplifies the process. This script will work on Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS, AlmaLinux, and Cloud Linux OS.

Log into your server as the root user via SSH and run the following commands:

If the automatic script fails or you prefer a manual installation, proceed as follows:

1. Log in to the Acronis Management Console (see Access URLs below).
2. In the menu, select Devices, then choose Add.
3. Select Linux and follow the on-screen instructions.

The recommended method for Windows is to download the installer directly to your server from the Acronis Management Console.

1. Connect to your server via Remote Desktop (RDP).
2. Open a web browser and navigate to the Acronis Management Console.
3. IMPORTANT: Use the URL corresponding to your account location.

• US Location: https://us15-cloud.acronis.com

4. In the console, select Add in the upper right and download the Windows installer to your server.
5. Once the download is complete, run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.
6. During the installation, you will be asked to authenticate with your Acronis Backup login credentials to register your server.

After installing the agent, you can verify that your server has been registered correctly and can be managed.

Log on to the Acronis Backup Management Console. Use your location-specific URL:

Your server should now be listed under the All devices tab.
