Restoring Files & Folders

Acronis lets you restore individual files and folders from any of your backups — regardless of whether you backed up the entire machine or just specific data.

Step 1: Select a Recovery Point

Log in to the Acronis Management Console using the URL for your server's location:

2.Under All devices, select the server you want to restore files from
3.Click the Recovery button in the right-hand menu
4.From the list of available recovery points, select the point in time you want to restore from — the list is sorted by date and time

Step 2: Browse and Select Files

After selecting a recovery point, click RECOVER... and choose the option Files/folders.

If your backup is encrypted, you will be prompted to enter your encryption password before you can proceed.

A file explorer view opens, showing the complete file system of your server as it existed at the time of the backup. Navigate through the folder structure and select the files or folders you want to restore using the checkboxes.

Step 3: Restore or Download

Once you have selected your files, two options are available:

Recover
Restores the selected files directly to their original location on the server. Ideal for bringing back accidentally deleted or overwritten files.
Download
Packages the selected files into an archive you can download to your local computer. Useful if you want to inspect a file locally before restoring it.
