Restoring Files and Folders

Acronis allows you to restore individual files and folders from any of your existing backups, regardless of whether you backed up the entire machine or just specific files. This process is done from the Acronis Management Console.

1. Select Your Recovery Point

First, you need to choose which backup you want to restore from.

  1. Log in to the Acronis Management Console. Use your location-specific URL:

Access URLs by Location:

  • EU Location: https://eu8-cloud.acronis.com
  • US Location: https://us15-cloud.acronis.com
  1. From the All devices list, select the server you want to restore files for.
  2. A menu will appear on the right. Click the Recovery button.
  3. You will now see a list of all available backup points (recovery points) sorted by date and time. Select the one you want to proceed with.

2. Browse and Select Files

After selecting a recovery point, click the RECOVER... button and choose the Files/folders option.

If your backup is encrypted, you will be prompted to enter your encryption password before you can proceed.

An interface will open that allows you to browse the complete file system of your server as it existed at the time of the backup. Navigate through the folders and select the files or folders you wish to restore by checking the boxes next to them.

3. Recover or Download

Once you have selected your files, you will have two main options:

  • Recover: This option will restore the selected files directly back to their original location on the server.

  • Download: This option will package the selected files into an archive that you can download to your local computer.

Choose your desired option to complete the process.
