Starting the Rescue Mode

Rescue mode boots your server into a special troubleshooting environment — for tasks such as resetting a password, repairing a broken configuration, or performing a full system restore.

Starting Rescue Mode in the PowerPanel

The entire process is managed through the PowerPanel:

1.Navigate to Hardware → Server Management in the PowerPanel
2.Click Actions next to the server and select Start Rescue Mode
3.Configure the rescue session on the following page
4.Click Next to start the process

For general Linux/Windows troubleshooting — reset passwords, repair configurations, check filesystems.
Acronis Bare-Metal Restore
For a full system restore from an Acronis backup.
EmailPre-filled with the email address of your PowerPanel account.
PasswordSet a password for the rescue session. This is required to connect to the rescue environment via VNC or SSH.

Important Notes

Boot time: It can take up to 20–30 minutes for the rescue system to fully load. You will receive an email notification once it is active.

Windows — password requirement: When starting rescue mode for a Windows server, the password must be exactly 8 characters long.
