Install Your Plesk License

To unlock all features of your server, you must activate your Plesk panel. This guide shows you how to download your key from the PowerPanel and install it on your system.

1. Download License Key

First, you need to retrieve your Plesk license key file from your PowerPanel account.

✓Log in to your PowerPanel
✓Navigate to Hardware → Server Management
✓Select Details for your specific server
✓Download the license key file (.key)

2. Option A: Via Plesk Interface (Recommended)

The simplest way is to upload the key directly through the Plesk web interface:

✓Log in to Plesk with admin credentials
✓Navigate to Tools & Settings in the left menu
✓Click on License Management
✓Select Install Key and upload your .key file

3. Option B: Via Command Line

Advanced users can install the license via SSH or RDP. Transfer the file to your server (e.g., to /tmp/) first.

Linux Server (SSH)
Linux Activation
plesk bin license -i /tmp/your-license.key
Windows Server (RDP)
Windows Activation
plesk bin license.exe --install C:\path\ o\license.key

Once the key is installed, the interface will automatically refresh to show your active license status.
