Getting Started with Plesk

If you have chosen an operating system that comes with Plesk pre-installed, this guide will help you log in for the first time. Plesk provides a powerful web-based interface to manage your server, while all standard features of the underlying operating system still apply.


Accessing the Plesk Web UI

Plesk is managed through a web interface that operates on port 8443 by default. To access it, open your web browser and enter one of the following addresses, using your server's IP or hostname:

  • https://[server IP address]:8443
  • https://[server hostname]:8443

Your Initial Login Credentials

To log into the Plesk Web UI for the first time, use the server's root credentials:

  • Username: root
  • Password: The same password you set during your OS installation.

After your initial login with the root user, you are free to create new users and begin managing your websites and services.
