If you have installed an operating system with cPanel, this guide will help you with your initial login. cPanel installations come with two distinct web interfaces: cPanel for end-users and WHM (Web Host Manager) for server administrators.
Your first login as the server administrator will be to WHM.
Accessing WHM (Web Host Manager)
As the server administrator, you will manage your server through WHM. This interface operates on port 2087 by default. To access it, open your web browser and enter one of the following addresses:
https://[server IP address]:2087https://[server hostname]:2087
Your Initial Login Credentials
To log into the WHM interface for the first time, use the server's root credentials:
- Username:
root - Password: The same password you set during your OS installation.
After you have logged into WHM, you can begin managing your server and creating individual cPanel accounts for your websites.
