Getting Started with cPanel & WHM
This guide shows how to log in to WHM (Web Host Manager) for the first time on a server with cPanel & WHM under AlmaLinux. WHM is the server administration interface of cPanel and is reached on port 2087 with your root credentials.
Your Initial Login Credentials
To log into the WHM interface (Web Host Manager) for the first time, use the server's root credentials:
Accessing WHM (Web Host Manager)
As the server administrator, you will manage your server through WHM. This interface operates on port 2087 by default:
https://[your-server-ip]:2087
https://[your-hostname]:2087
Security Note: cPanel/WHM uses self-signed certificates initially. Your browser will show a warning. Select "Advanced" and proceed to the site to access the login page.
Issues after installation?
If you encounter any issues accessing WHM after a fresh installation, please open a support ticket in your PowerPanel.
